What, who or how and when did you first get involved with the Iditarod?

I first became involved with Iditarod about seven years ago through my church in Georgia. We became affiliated with Graceworks Alaska, who helps with the start, the official start, putting up the fencing and all of those things.

What is your Why? Why are you here TODAY and involved with the Iditarod?

I’m here today involved with the Iditarod because it’s a lot of fun. I love the cold. Alaska’s beautiful and it’s just a great place to be.

Tell me about just one of your most memorable Iditarod experiences:

One of my most memorable Iditarod experiences was being at the musher banquet and meeting Aliy Zirkle who was super friendly, and also Mitch Seavey, who was interesting and Nicholas Petit because he was just fun.

What in life do you know for sure?

What I know for sure in life is God is the creator of all this beauty and He sent His son to die for us and I’m so blessed for that.
