What, who or how and when did you first get involved with the Iditarod?

I got involved with the Iditarod, must have been junior high, with one of my good friends. His dad did the Iditarod one year, so he had a dog team in Galena. And I was able to help out that year with cooking for the mushers and stuff and picking up after the dogs in Galena.

What is your Why? Why are you here TODAY and involved with the Iditarod?

My family lives here, so it’s nice to see them, but it’s also nice to get back and get in the swing of Iditarod, working it.

Tell me about just one of your most memorable Iditarod experiences.

One of my most memorable Iditarod experiences was working in Galena. And I’ve always looked up to DeeDee Jonrowe, and I was able to lead her dogs and her team into her slot that year. And that was pretty awesome.

What in life do you know for sure?

What I know for sure in life is that you can work hard and you get rewarded back for it.
