What is your Why?.. Why are you here today and involved in Iditarod?:
YOU KNOW, I’M HERE FOR TWO THINGS. ONE IS JUST THE LOVE OF FLYING. ALSO IT’S THE LOVE OF THE PEOPLE THAT I’VE MET ON THE RACE. THAT’S PROBABLY THE BIGGEST DRAW TO ME.
Tell me about your most rewarding experience on Iditarod?:
BOY, THAT IS A LONG LIST. BUT I WOULD SAY THE PICTURES THAT STAND IN MY MIND ARE LATE IN THE EVENING WHEN THE SUN IS GOING DOWN, FLYING LOW OVER THE YUKON AND PASSING MUSHER TEAMS UNDERNEATH ME WITH THE PINK IN THE SUNSET AND THE MUSH TEAM UNDERNEATH, AND I DIP A WING, AND THEY WAVE A HAND BACK. THAT’S JUST SPECIAL TO ME.
What do you know for sure?:
THAT IT’S GOING TO CHANGE. YOU’D BETTER BE ABLE TO ROLL WITH IT.
