What, who or how and when did you first get involved with the Iditarod?

I got involved with the Iditarod through Jeff Sones. I met him in Eagle Point when I was driving through Alaska in 2017. And he told me that I ought to come volunteer, so I did in ‘18 and I’ve been back ever since. And I love it. It is so wonderful. I am here today and involved with the Iditarod because I enjoy the meeting all the athletic dogs, the wonderful mushers, and the family of volunteers who make you feel so

What is your Why?.. Why are you here today and involved in Iditarod?

I am here today and involved with the Iditarod because I enjoy meeting all the athletic dogs, the wonderful mushers, and the family of volunteers who make you feel so welcome.

Tell me about just one of your most memorable Iditarod experiences?

One of my most memorable Iditarod experiences was going up to Nome last year and spending a week up there talking with the mushers that had completed the race, listening to their wonderful stories, and getting to cheer on those that made it all the way along to Nome. It was wonderful.

What do you know for sure?:

What I know for sure in life is that you live each day and enjoy the moment, and it doesn’t matter how old you are, you just keep going and take it in day by day.
